Organic rosewater application suggestions gourmet alliances
Gourmet alliances

Organic rosewater is ideal for flavoring macaroons, cocktails, ice creams, yogurts, cheesecakes, mousses, ganaches, glazes, oriental pastries…
This NOROHY floral water makes delicious gourmet combinations with citrus fruits such as lemon, orange or mandarin…. It can also be combined with apples, grapefruit, lychee, pomegranate or red fruits (notably redcurrant, raspberry and strawberry). Organic rosewater can also be combined with watermelon. Traditionally, this delicate floral water is blended with dried fruits such as figs, pistachios, pine nuts, almonds and honey. These combinations can easily be enhanced with spices such as cardamom and ginger. Last but not least, rosewater and dairy products (cream, yoghurt, milk or fromage blanc in particular) are also a perfect match. For the more daring, try unusual combinations such as beet or fennel…
Finally, this same rosewater can be used in cosmetics or facials for its delicate notes and benefits.

Recommended dosage

Add 30 to 50g of NOROHY organic rosewater per kilo of preparation, depending on the desired intensity.

High-quality ingredients for organic edible rosewater
Damask or Damascena Roses

Among the many varieties of rose, NOROHY has selected Damask rose for its edible floral water. Its delicate, fresh notes subtly perfume recipes.
This flower has been cultivated in Syria since Antiquity. The Crusades are said to have brought it back to Europe on their travels. Since then, it has been cultivated in Turkey and Bulgaria, where the climate and floral expertise are ideal. Its exceptional fragrance makes it an emblematic flower in the perfume, aromatherapy and gastronomy sectors.

A sector with traditional know-how

In the heart of Bulgaria’s Rose Valley, these precious flowers are grown biodynamically. Harvested in the early hours of the morning, the roses are picked one by one by hand. A few hours later, they are distilled less than 20 km from the plots…

A little more than an edible rosewater...

The selection of flowers, good growing practices and the rigor of the distillation process mean that NOROHY can guarantee the essence content of this rose water at bottling. This is not only a guarantee of quality, but also of total transparency for the consumer, which NOROHY is committed to upholding.

A simple recipe

NOROHY edible rosewater is indeed a pure flavoring preparation. To facilitate preservation and prevent bacteriological growth, only a little citric acid is added. No artificial flavors or flavor enhancers are added to the recipe!

Distillation

Distillation is the process of transferring aromas from fresh flowers to floral water. In this extraction process, rose petals are mixed with water and brought to the boil. By evaporation, the aromatic molecules rise up the distillation column. They then condense as they cool, returning to a liquid state for collection. The resulting hydrosol is known as rose water, natural rose aroma or distilled rose water. NOROHY’s rigorous selection of flowers, good growing practices and rigorous distillation process guarantee the essence content of this rosewater at bottling.

A chef's word

A rosewater ideal for ice creams, with soft floral notes and a hint of zest and almond.
