NOROHY’s commitments are manifold. On a daily basis, they are reflected in concrete actions that focus on 4 key areas. The first is to promote more responsible and resilient industries. The second aims to significantly reduce our environmental footprint. The third is to promote quality, and the last is to engage and enlighten those involved in gastronomy about the uses of vanilla and flavoring plants.
NOROHY's commitments to the industry

NOROHY’s priority is to contribute to the sustainability of crops and the deployment of responsible practices for more resilient communities. Our collaboration with the agricultural sector enables us to meet the challenges facing producers and processors. The issues are numerous: the sustainability and development of vanilla cultivation, crop diversification… rnrnNOROHY, through its partners, works with over 2,500 producers organized into associations or agricultural cooperatives.rnrnOrganic certification is one of the tools we use to guarantee the traceability and quality of our pods.rnrnFinally, we do what we can, but in a very concrete way, by co-financing local projects.rnrnIn 2023, NOROHY co-financed the reconstruction of a bridge. As a result, residents of the Morafeno region can now travel freely and safely. Other projects are currently being formalized for the coming years… we’ll tell you more soon…

NOROHY commitments : environmental footprint

Sustainably reducing our environmental footprint is an ongoing concern. Our products are based on virtuous principles. These include our clean-label (additive-free) recipes, eco-designed packaging, recyclability of packaging and work on product lifespan…rnrnWe calculated our carbon footprint for the first time in 2024 to identify our main areas for progress and decarbonize our business. This work revealed two main areas for improvement: changes in land use and the impact of vanilla transport.rnrnNOROHY has therefore embarked on a major project to map vanilla production plots in Madagascar in order to refine this calculation and ensure that land use remains unchanged in the years to come.rnrnNOROHY has also been a member of Windcoop since 2023, the 1u003csupu003ereu003c/supu003rd citizen and activist cooperative for the transport of goods by sail. In this way, we are helping to open up a new, low-carbon shipping route. This cooperative sailing cargo ship project will transport our vanilla beans more quickly. And all this while reducing COu003csubu003e2u003c/subu003e emissions by 90% by 2026! We are fully committed to this approach with Valrhona through a contribution of 300 K€. This sum is earmarked for the construction of the boat and the purchase of shares. A way of getting involved in the governance of the cooperative.

NOROHY quality commitments

In addition to our environmental and supply chain commitments, NOROHY has made a further commitment: to put its customers at the heart of its concerns. To this end, we refrain from sourcing raw materials by trading, and ensure rigorous sourcing. Our teams travel several times a year to meet our producers in Madagascar, Bulgaria, Mexico… The organic certification of our products from Madagascar enables us to guarantee the traceability of our pods. Our floral waters and coffee bean paste are also organic. Finally, we are committed to promoting good agricultural practices in all our supply chains. In this way, we can guarantee our customers quality raw materials, rigorously selected.rnrnWe apply the same rigorous standards to the processing of our products. Strict specifications and audits of our workshops govern these stages. In this way, our quality approach complies with the constraints of the FSSC 22000 standard.rnrnFinally, our customer service is responsive and strives to respond as satisfactorily as possible to all requests. In this way, we hope to make our customers’ daily lives easier.

NOROHY's commitment to enlightened gastronomy

Our hands-on approach has created a real closeness with chefs and amateur pastry chefs alike. Our ambition is to build on this privileged relationship to encourage those involved in gastronomy to adopt more enlightened uses of vanilla and aromatic plants.rnrnThat’s why we try to pass on to our customers the challenges facing our sectors during sales tours, conferences, training courses and customer events. We also pass this on through our digital and printed educational materials.rnrnFinally, we value the work of women and men to enable us to offer you high-quality products. In this way, we share our way of working with our partners.rnrnu0026nbsp;
