About the chef

Behind The French Pâtissier is Mehdi, a native of Lyon who has made his passion for patisserie and sharing his profession. With a background in science, it was during his PhD in astrophysics that Mehdi discovered his passion for pastry. Eventually, he decided to trade in his astrophysicist's hat for that of pastry chef, training in some of the world's top establishments alongside renowned chefs such as Cédric Grolet, Cyril Lignac and Maxime Frédéric. With his boundless creativity and a desire to pass on his skills and share them with other enthusiasts, Mehdi decided to create his blog thefrenchpatissier.com to share his advice and innovative creations. Since then, his project has grown with the ambition of bringing patisserie to life through sharing and awakening the senses.
